Concerned about corporate liability for personnel assigned to areas that are not secure? SSA does not claim to have the solution to international terrorism or organized criminal activities. Major governments have been trying to find those answers for years without success. SSA's theory is that criminals and terrorists would rather chase a sheep that a lion. SSA will help you enhance your overall security posture and make your people less attractive targets.
Executive Threat Awareness Course
In many situations, the corporate executive is solely responsible for the protection of himself and his family because the corporate budget just doesn't have room for a dedicated protective detail. That is why SSA developed the Executive Threat Awareness Course. This course of instruction is tailored to the individual executive's operating environment and includes:
- Office and Residence Security
- Personal Protective Measures
- Explosive Recognition
- Firearms Safety
- Insurgent and Criminal Case Studies
- Counter-Surveillance
- Hostage Survival
- Surviving A Hostile Encounter
Criminals and terrorists always select their victim with care and one of their primary considerations is "which one is easiest: the sheep or the lion?" The primary objective of the course, therefore, is to teach the basic skills necessary so that the executive becomes the lion and a less desirable target. SSA teaches the executive how to recognize and avoid a threat before it becomes a dangerous or life threatening problem.
Protective Driving Course
The majority of successful kidnapping and assassination attempts could have been thwarted if the drivers had used correct defensive maneuvers. Defensive driving plays a critical role in enhancing security primarily because an individual is most vulnerable during travel for even the best-trained protective detail is helpless if the motorcade drivers do not react correctly to a threat. SSA can provide your drivers with this training while carrying it one very import step further...our course concentrates on how to avoid potential ambush situations. Truly, the best reaction is prevention.
SSA offers a selection of driving courses from Basic Evasive Driving to Advanced Motorcade Driving. We tailor the course to your company's needs and some of the more popular course modules are:
- Accident avoidance
- Defensive and Offensive Driving Techniques
- Motorcade Driving Techniques
- Evasive Driving
- Counter Ambush Techniques
Tactical Firearms Proficiency Course
Law enforcement and protective Agents must not only be qualified marksmen; they must also be trained to make the proper decision instinctively in situations requiring the application of lethal force. SSA firearms training programs not only ensure that the student can hit the target, but that he knows when to shoot. We teach how to cope with stress - a critical factor in any high-risk situation. Learning how to remain calm while shooting under pressure gives the best chance for survival in a situation requiring lethal force.
SSA offers courses of instruction from Novice through Advanced Tactical Techniques. We can improve the individual's shooting skills and tactics at all levels. Our courses are not designed to develop competition shooters. SSA is concerned with developing a better decision-maker and tactical shooter.
Protective Agent Course
Being a professional Protection Agent is more, much more, than being large and looking intimidating. Indeed, that is the least of the qualifications needed for a true Protection Agent. While size may make a good nightclub bouncer, it is mental agility under pressure, professional knowledge, experience and training that make a professional Protection Agent.
SSA trains its own people to insure the highest quality in its own protective details. Let SSA use its experience to upgrade your security force. The training modules that are generally included in the training of Protective Agents are:
- The Protective Concept
- Fundamentals of Close Protection
- Working the Principal
- Surveillance and Counter-surveillance
- The Terrorist Threat
- Criminal & Terrorist Background & Methods of Operation
- Agent Responsibilities and Procedures
- Command & Management Responsibilities (for Shift Leaders and Agent's-in-Charge)
- Surveys and Advance Planning and Procedures
- Evasive Driving Techniques
- Emergency First Aid
- Communications
